Who they are

The team at Polaris has been helping patients in Atlanta for 40 years. They began their practice in 1979 as Peachtree Neurosurgery with a specialty in spine surgery. As their practice continued to grow, Peachtree Neurosurgery realized they wanted to provide their patients with more than just surgical care.

They introduced a physical medicine and rehabilitable program where they can provide comprehensive treatment like non-surgical procedures, MRIs, regenerative injections and aquatic and physical therapy. In 2015, they changed their name to Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery Center to reflect the full spectrum of spine care they now offer.

What sets them apart

Polaris is always looking for new ways to improve their patients’ experience and be the clear choice for navigating spine issues. Their practice is centered around caring for patients in the best way possible with a dedication to personalized healthcare and a focus on staying at the cutting edge of technology.

They strive to make each patient feel like an individual by focusing on small details such as having their favorite snack stocked in the waiting area for their visit. The staff understands that their patients often don’t feel well and are in pain, so their goal is to make what may be an unpleasant time for them the best experience they’ve ever had in a doctor’s office.

“It makes me and our staff feel proud when patients are excited to come in to see us because we try hard to make them feel at home,” said Carlie Ivie, practice liaison at Polaris.
